The Life Enrichment Fund enables United Church Homes to provide financial support to residents in financial need and to continue our commitment to never ask anyone to leave because of lack of funds. The Life Enrichment Fund improves the quality of life for all residents, by providing funding for the general endowment, capital campaigns, and special purchases and projects.
United Church Homes, Inc. is an Ohio Not-for-Profit corporation. It is recognized by the I.R.S. as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation. The 501(c)(3) status permits us to receive donations and the donors are then permitted to treat them as a donation on their personal tax returns.

The choice is yours! The annual fund's main focus is on providing $3.4 million dollars to help underwrite the cost of care for those 373 residents who can no longer afford to pay for the full cost of care.
You may choose to give to a special capital project. Your gift will be used to pay for that piece of equipment for one of our long term care and/or one of our housing communities.
Or, you may choose to support the General Endowment. The General Endowment is like a savings account, and the principal cannot be spent, but only the interest on a specific program.
Yes. Every effort will be made to demonstrate your gift working for the community of your choice!
No. The amount of the gift given in honor or memory of someone is never divulged to anyone other than the donor.
Review your will and bring it up to date. If you would like to include UCH in your will, make a small change called a "codicil." You should consult your attorney when you make this change. We hope you included us in your will or codicil and we would appreciate it if you tell us of your plans. "Where there's a will put us in."
In exchange for transferring money or other property to a United Church Home, United Church Homes agrees to pay you a guaranteed fixed sum of money, the annuity, for the rest of your life. The gift annuity can be for one or two lives.

The Society of Stephen is a membership organization made up of individuals and couples who support United Church Homes with an annual, minimum donation of $100 or more. The Society of Stephen was started by the late Rev. Dr. Ben M. Herbster who asked ten of his friends to make a commitment of $100 or more per year and also to ask their friends to get involved.
The Ben M. Herbster Award is presented annually at six of United Church Homes' full-service communities to individuals who best exemplify the philosophy, leadership, philanthropic spirit and achievements of the late Rev. Dr. Ben M. Herbster. Dr. Herbster was the founding president of the United Church of Christ; respected trustee for United Church Homes, active resident of Trinity Community; founder of the "100+Club" program for annual support; and chairperson of several renovation expansion, and capital campaigns for United Church Homes' communities. His commitment to service to the elderly, his many hours of volunteer and professional leadership, and his exemplary charitable support have enabled United Church Homes to expand and develop new communities and programs to meet the needs of the aging so we can now provide service to over 3,000 older men and women each year.
